George Ilenikhena, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of
Manhattan. He is committed to providing quality and compassionate care to patients in New York City.
Originally born in Lagos, Nigeria, Dr. Ilenikhena moved to Chicago, IL, in his early years. He graduated from the University of Illinois (Chicago), earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina, where he graduated with distinction and was honored with awards for his efforts in leadership, teaching, scientific research, and community service. During his time in dental school, he spearheaded initiatives aimed at alleviating barriers preventing access to care and participated in various outreach programs in the United States.
Dr. Ilenikhena completed his post-graduate residency in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he perfected his skills in the full scope of endodontic
procedures and taught endodontic microsurgery to doctors from all over the world. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and attends scientific
conferences to stay informed of current research, developments and techniques in the field of endodontics.
Dr. Ilenikhena believes in providing pain-free endodontic care in a relaxed and
comfortable environment where every decision is made with the best interest of the
patient at heart. In his free time, he enjoys attending concerts, cooking, exercising,
traveling, horticulture, and spending time with friends and family.
